Hi all,
I am using the Lite version to try it out, it seems to do everything we need right now.
We are using an IMAP mail store and the servers MSSQL isntallation.
When a user first logs in the new, unread messages are in bold and if they read a message and stay logged in the other messages stay bold. However if they logout or the session ends and they log back in the unread messages are not bold anymore.
Is this a 'feature' bug or is there a setting somewhere that I can specify to keep UNREAD messages as bold rather than NEW messages since last logon..?
Thanks
Rolf

To help you on that one, I'd need to know:
1) What version number you're using? (how to find out)
2) What synchronization mode do you use for Inbox? You can find it in Manage Folders screen.
3) Do you use some well-known email hosting provider (like GMail), your ISP mail service or something else?
4) Does this depend on a web browser you are using, or the behavior can be reproduced in any?
I see you've posted the same to HelpDesk, so please copy your response there as well.

I'm having the same problem with the ASP version 5.0.3.
I have it set to get the IMAP headers, but what happens is that when the list of unread email headers are fetched from the IMAP server, they are listed in Webmail as UNREAD, but the status on the IMAP server is changed to READ.
If one were to logout from Webmail and then log back in, the UNREAD emails in Webmail are now listed as READ, because that's how they are now listed on the IMAP server.
Is there a way to fetch the IMAP headers without marking them as read on the IMAP server?
Thanks,
Larry

If you try this on our Live demo (which is PHP), does the problem reproduce? Or is it specific to ASP.NET version only?

Alex

Alex, I can't really tell, because I don't have access to the underlying IMAP server to tell if the messages are being marked as READ on the server?

Why don't you have access to the underlying IMAP server? You do not have access to your own IMAP server? I mean you can try your IMAP server using our Live Demo. Or, your server is not public, and our Live Demo won't be able to access it?

Alex

Ok, Alex, I see what you are saying.
I just tried logging into my server from the demo version, and that one does NOT mark the email as read when it gets the headers.
When I login the same way from my aspx version, it does mark the email as read when it retreves the headers.

Could you please let us know what kind of IMAP server you're using? Thank you!

I am having the same problem with messages not showing bold after logging in a second time. I'm using Webmail Lite (downloaded last week), hMailServer IMAP and MSSQL Express 2005.
Thanks,
Michael

I assume this is about Direct Mode, correct? We're aware of this issue, developers are going to investigate it.
