Hi.
I am evaluating Mailbee Objects V9 in order to solve an issue with my current version which is V6. Version 9 seems to still have the issue so I am wondering if it is something I am doing wrong with the new version. In order to send email through Gmail using Mailbee Objects, I have had set Gmail to less secure settings to allow sending of email through SMTP due to the error of "using an older application for sending email". I was hoping that V9 would be considered as a "newer" program to Gmail and not have to reduce Gmail security settings but I still get the message indicating that Mailbee V9 is an "older application" and that I have to reduce Gmail settings. Clients prefer not to do this. Am I doing something wrong with V9 or do I actually have to still reduce security in Gmail? Thank You.

Hi,
Insecure in Google terms does not mean the app uses some insecure protocols or anything like that. It just means the app uses login/password for authentication. Outlook, Thunderbird and other mail clients also treated insecure by Google. You'll have to explain this to your customers.
Regards,
Alex
