have just installed MailSuite Lite on a mailserver that had old mail servers on it. The Instalation went fine but then when it attempted to open adminpanel/Default.aspx it could not fine the page. Do I need to create a new website in IIS for this to work?

While MailSuite attempts to create IIS application and virtual directory, that doesn't always work, for
instance due to access permissions. You should make sure that IIS app points to WEBMAIL directory.
And, you can't expect MailSuite to work if there are other mail servers on the same machine. It must be the
only mail server there.

No there's no need for that, just make sure all the other mail services are
either uninstalled or just shut down, and restart the XMail service.

Please note that I was only speaking of email server software, having email client installed isn't a problem.
But, generally, you can only have one SMTP service running on your box, so if you have, say, Windows SMTP
service enabled, you'll need to turn it off.

You need virtual directory created in IIS, that can be done under Default Web Site so it will actually be
subdirectory of localhost. Don't forget to create IIS application as mentioned above.

The URL part right after "localhost" should match IIS application name you have created, make
sure it is "webmail-lite" indeed.
