how can I make update from lite to pro version without loss of existing users, server.tab settings etc.

You'll need to backup MailRoot/domains directory, that's where user accounts and emails are stored.

If you'd like to be able to manage accounts with the Pro version, you'll need to backup and remove MailRoot/domains, create a blank installation of AfterLogic XMail Server, create all domains you had using Admin Panel and then bring MailRoot/domains folder to new installation. Please note that user accounts would appear in Admin Panel only once user logged in for the first time.

It is recommended to reconfigure XMail Server Pro from scratch, but you can use server.tab file from Lite version and add the following lines to it:
