I am having a problem with deletion of messages from the message list. Once a message is selected and the delete button clicked, I briefly get the 'loading' box. The box disappears but the message list does not refresh, eliminating the deleted message.
If I do a manual browser page refresh, then the message list updates properly, eliminating the deleted message and updating the message counts next the folders in the folder list.
Actually any operation which forces a page refresh causes the messages to update.
I looked in the mail server logs immediately after the delete of a message and see the message deleted on the server. The message list page just does not update after that.
I am running Webmail Pro free 5-user license.
IMAP4
Direct mode is default
1 domain and 1 user in that domain
Win XP home SP2
IE6 & FF3.5.1
hMailServer 5.3.1-B1653
MySQL 5.1.36
Apache 2.2.11
PHP 5.2.9-2
All apps and server software is installed/running on the same machine (localhost). All testing is done from that same machine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of months ago, a really similar bug was reported, it was connected with "Message list with preview pane" option. Do you have it unchecked in your account settings?
Please also let us know what version number of WebMail Pro you're running. And please confirm that for the account in question, Direct Mode is set for Inbox too (global settings do not apply to existing accounts).

Thanks for the quick response!!
Below are answers to your questions.
"Do you have it unchecked in your account settings?"
YES - unchecked
"Please also let us know what version number of WebMail Pro you're running."
4.8.15
"And please confirm that for the account in question, Direct Mode is set for Inbox too (global settings do not apply to existing accounts)."
AdminPanel Page -> Users -> select user -> Edit User -> Basic Setting -> Allow Direct Mode (checked)
AdminPanel Page -> WebMail -> selected domain -> Common Settings -> Allow Direct Mode (checked), Direct Mode Is Default (checked)
WebMail Pro -> user account message list -> Inbox has square with 'D' inside
WebMail Pro -> user account message list -> Settings -> Manage Folder -> Inbox -> Synchronize = Direct Mode -> Subscribed (checked)
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks Again,
Scarabaeus

Update:
When I load Webmail Pro into my browser and try to delete a message from the message list, I briefly get the little loading box.
But the message line remains in the list.
If I refresh the page by any means, the message is eliminated from the list and then appears in the trash folder.
AFTER THE FIRST occurrence of this behavior (deleting a message line and refreshing the page), Webmail Pro will no longer display the loading box when clicking on the delete button on the tool bar. And the selected message will not be moved to the trash folder on subsequent page refreshes. If I close the browser and reopen it with Webmail Pro, the above behavior repeats itself.
I appear to have no problems with message line refreshes when moving messages to other folders, or when marking messages read/unread or flag/unflag.
Only the delete method using the tool bar button has a problem.
As additional information to that in my past post.
My Apache, MySQL, and PHP run under a Wamp interface.
Thus the Webmail Pro folder path is as follows:
C:\wamp\www\Webmail\
I don't know if this is pertinent to this delete message behavior.
Am I the only person to experience this behavior?
Regards

A bit of update on this one: we have found out that the issue does not occur for the beta release of WebMail Pro 4.9, so once this new major build is released we recommend to update the installation.

Hi!
We had similar problems! Deleting message from Inbox used to reduce the mail count of Inbox and increase that of Trash. But soon the original counts rolled back. The message never actually got deleted.
After lot of trial and errors we realized that if we delete the mailbox from webmail (Not from mail server) and re-register it the problem was solved.
For us Webmail works in Direct mode.

We are going to release WebMail Pro 6.0 shortly, and IMAP-related functionality
has a lot of changes there, so we suggest to upgrade your installation once new
version is out and check if the problem persists.
