Hi everyone
I've been looking for a PHP based open source webmail client that fulfills all my needs, and basically I think AfterLogic Webmail Lite is exactly what I need.
There is one huge problem though: It doesn't seem to import existing custom folders.
My webhoster offers Roundcube as the standard webmail client. In Roundcube, I created several custom mail folders for my needs. Whenever I installed another client (PHP, MySQL), those folders were imported without any problems automatically. Webmail Lite, I'm afraid, doesn't.
Did I miss anything? Do I have to change config to enable this? Is it supported at all? Do I have to install plugins and such to enable this?
I really hope Webmail Lite does offer this functionality in any form, or else I'll have to continue my search ... again. -.-
Thanks a lot!
Best
Strike

Sorry for doubleposting, couldn't find a "Edit" button:
Somehow, Webmail Lite doesn't really seem to communicate with server properties at all except getting mails (which works). When I logged in for the first time, all the mails showed as "unread", although they're all read. Every other client "imported" their read or unread-setting from the start... What's wrong? :(

Most probably, you have configured WebMail to use POP3 access. Using IMAP should resolve both the issues with custom folders (if they're available via IMAP of course) and with unread messages.

Hi Igor
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Unfortunately, I did try both POP3 and IMAP4, in the admin panel backend as well as my account frontend. I always saved and logged out after doing changes; it didn't help :(

You can not change account type in frontend, that requires removing the account. I'd suggest to add your mail domain under "Domains" tab and select IMAP there.

Okay, how do I remove the account? In the Database?
I did add the Domain and set it to IMAP, however, I don't really know how to link my account with that domain ... sorry.

Igor, I can't find a way to resolve this ... would you be fine with trying it directly on my server? I could make you a mail adress and some example custom folders and adminpanel access ...

Well, I could try, but I don't guarantee anything (Lite edition is not covered with free support). Please send the details via HelpDesk, and be sure to set a password for your HelpDesk account after submitting request.

Thank you.
As I suspected, the domain was added as POP3 one, and port 110 set is a confirmation of that; for IMAP, it would be port 143. I have deleted and recreated this domain as IMAP. After logging into a test account, it really looks like IMAP now, with custom folders in place.

strikedamic,
out of curiosity, why did you choose AfterLogic to replace RoundCube?
