Hello,
when I try to open a larger e-mail (some megabytes) in webmail lite, I get the following error:
Error während parsing XML.
Error code 2.
Antwort text:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7599196 bytes) in /var/www/html/web112/html/webmailphp/mime/class_mailmessage. php on line 542
Is it a limitation by the provider or can I do something?
Regards,
akn

Now I asked my provider to increase the php memory size and he did so.
But now I see that nevertheless the allowed memory size should be enough?! (..."allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7599196 bytes)"...).
Is it a bug?

Hm, that is really strange; but I am sure the reason is in server config but not in webmail. Your webmail LITE needs enough memory to work with large messages, and it still looks like there is not enough memory. It's better when you have 100 megabytes of memory at least, or even 200. I hope you understand: its not enough to set new value for php config, even if web server is restarted after that; you must be sure that you have so much memory really available for use.
Cheers,
Corwin.

Thank you!
My provider raised the allowed memory size to 20 MB first. With that I was able to open messages up to about 2 MB.
Now the memory size is set to 32 MB and displaying messages with a size up to 10 MB should be no problem.

Finally I made a last test: With the allowed memory size of 32 MB it is possible to display a message up to 5.4 MB (4 MB attachment).
