Hi all,
on my setup i'd need to use the localhost (127.0.0.1) on port 25 PLAIN smtp with no authentication to send mail.
But even if i set:
<OutgoingMailServer>127.0.0.1</OutgoingMailServer> <OutgoingMailPort>25</OutgoingMailPort>   ; <OutgoingMailAuth>NoAuth</OutgoingMailAuth> <OutgoingMailLogin></OutgoingMailLogin>   ; <OutgoingMailPassword></OutgoingMailPassword> &nbs p;
AL 7.7.6 still use SMTP AUTH to send mails so it get auth failed
and fails to send out mails.
server levels are: Apache/2.2.29 PHP/5.4.36
any idea?
any help?
thanks
massimo

Those are default settings, they do not affect existing accounts. You need to delete and recreate account to apply changes to it - and in WebMail Lite v7, it can only be done from user settings area.
Please note that v7 of WebMail Lite is no longer supported, switching over to WebMail Lite 8 is strongly recommended.

i've found that setting 0 as value in the aw_accounts table on the field "mail_out_auth" the webmail uses correctly the plain smtp on the localhost as i need
after from the admin panel i've set no authentication for smtp
and deleted all users in that db table
now all new users get the right value "0"
thanks
