Hi,
Similar issue to a previous thread. I'm trying to investigate one of my users who cant send to a certain domain, the recipient never recieves the mail.
I want to configure the Errors and Bounces section in webadmin but when ever I enter my email details for error reports and warnings and save the settings the defaults are always shown next time I browse to these settings.
have tried using ie8 and also firefox 3.5.2
best regards
Neil.

First of all, please check that the sufficient write permissions are set for server.tab file, you may try to grant Full Control permissions to Everyone user over this file temporarily for testing purposes.
The settings you're attempting to modify are located in the following lines of server.tab file:
Code:
#"ErrorsAdmin" "root@axma ilserver.test"
#"TempErrorsAdmin" "send-failures@axmailserver.test" |
|
|
You can change those settings manually if you like, be sure to remove preceding # character in this case.

Hi Igor,
Thanks for the prompt response.
I have edited the file directly as even with full control to everyone still resulted in not being able to save the settings.
Could this be related to using command line options to run xmail on a specific ip.
mail comes in on one ip into a seperate spam filter and is then fowarded by the spam filter to the ip that xmail is running on.
regards
Neil.

We don't think that running XMail on different IP can affect inability to save settings. We've encountered a similar issue quite recently, restarting both XMail and IIS did the trick, maybe it will help you too? If it doesn't, please let us know the exact version of XMail Server you're using.

Hi Igor,
Restarting xmail and IIS services did solve the issue, thanks very much for that.
Nothing of note in the event logs to indicate what the issue may be though.
cheers mate
Neil.
