I am getting two or three errors while attempting to integrate (xmail pro windows), it seems as though changing the name of a web.config fixes my problems. Does this affect the xmail server in a negative way at all?

C:\AECCMD\AfterLogic XMail Server Pro\WEBMAIL\WEB\Web.config

To

C:\AECCMD\AfterLogic XMail Server Pro\WEBMAIL\WEB\Web1.config

Could you please clarify what exactly you're trying to do and what kind of errors you get?

Web.config file located in WebMail Pro directory is used only by WebMail Pro, XMail Server has its own configuration .tab files located under MailRoot directory.

Igor

Yes I understand that, the problem with it is how I installed it. Now I have multiple web.config within a website. If I leave the name at Web.config then I get machine level errors at authorization="Windows" However, if I change it to Web1.config these errors go away. So again my question is if I chnage the name of the Web.config in the Webmail/Web does it have negative affects on xmail pro?

Could you please submit exact error messages you get?

Again, XMail Server Pro itself knows nothing of web.config file as it's not related to XMail Server Pro in any way. Does WebMail Pro work fine when you rename web.config file? Actually, it shouldn't as the file contains path to the data folder.

Everything runs fine if I change it except the adminpanel.

Make sure you have created and configured applications for both WebMail Pro and AdminPanel in your IIS. Please refer to this FAQ page for more details on this.

Thanks for the email I ended up converting a few files to app before it would work properly: AfterLogic xmail server Pro, Webmail, Web, Admin, Web
But now it integrates well, thanks for the help both here and via email.

Now if we can just fix that pop3 error I will be all set
