Hi,
When you move an email from one folder to another on an IMAP server, do you know if it gets assigned a new UID in the new folder?
I'm not talking about the 'index' which obviously does change, but the UID for the email.
I've been testing my email system on a HOTMAIL and does seem as though the UIDs are changing.
If you can shed any light on it, that would be great - thanks!

Hi,
Yes, UIDs are always assigned fresh. If the server supports UIDPLUS extension, you can get new UID from UidPlusResult parameter of Copy/Move methods.
Regards,
Alex
