Hi,
I am trying to get mailbee to connect to a mailbox on our exchange server and it is throwing this error message
07:50:05 [MailBee POP3 v8.0.0.172. Registered version]
07:50:05 [Connecting to server mail.xxx.com.au at port 25]
07:50:05 [Error: Negative or void server response]
07:50:05 [Server responded: 220 xxxsrv01.xxx.com.au Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Thu, 14 Aug 2014 07:50:04 +1000\r\n]
07:50:05 [Error: Connection failure]
Also the smtp log file isn’t being created.

Try using SMTP component instead. BTW, you're posting this in MailBee.NET SMTP forum. Please note that MailBee.NET SMTP is another product. From the log you presented I see you're using ActiveX version now.
