Hi,
I have been using Webmail Pro PHP for years and have loved it!
I recently noticed though that certain emails were not loading in the interface but loaded fine through IMAP on my phone. I was running 9.8.2, so I upgraded to the latest version, 9.8.3.build9-build-o3. Unfortunately this did not fix the issue, so I thought I would reach out and see if anyone might be able to help me with this further.
I am a software engineer, so I took a brief look at the error in question. It's a JavaScript error occurring when attempting to load the email. It appears to be failing when attempting to parse the HTML of the email, specifically when it's trying to call the split function on an undefined variable.
From the devtools console:
Code:
app.min.js?98393:2 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'split')

The textBody() function returns the below - so it is able to get the contents of the email earlier on in the code, but it fails on htmlStartsWithBlockquote(), as the variable it passes in is undefined. Somewhere between those two points something is not working quite right.
Code:
"<!--?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?--><div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"font-family: Aptos, Aptos_MSFontService, -apple-system, Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt;color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">\n<a rel=\"external\" href=\"https://giamusic.com/resource/ding-dong-merrily-on-high-organ-sheet-music-digital-download-e311961\" target=\"_blank\" tabindex=\"-1\" class=\"external\">https://google.com</a></div>\n<div data-applydefaultfontstyles=\"true\" style=\"font-family: Aptos, Aptos_MSFontService, -apple-system, Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\" dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"font-family: Aptos, Aptos_MSFontService, -apple-system, Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">\n<br>\n</div>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Aptos, Aptos_MSFontService, -apple-system, Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\" dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"font-family: Aptos, Aptos_MSFontService, -apple-system, Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">\n- Sent from my phone, please excuse any typos.</div>\n</div>\n</div>"

This was a simple email I sent to myself from one of my other emails of a link (and it also contained my email signature from outlook - I sent it via my phone). I'm not sure if it's something about how it was sent, or what exactly is causing the problem. I did not dig much further to narrow it down exactly, but I'm happy to help with any debugging if needed - I can provide email headers, or even a copy of the email if that would be helpful. Let me know if I need to create a support ticket or anything too or if anyone has any ideas/thoughts.
Thanks!

Hello,
We've had several reports of this issue by now - problem is, no matter what we try, we're not able to reproduce the issue on our installations. To investigate this further, we would need an account the issue can be reproduced with, as well as SSH/FTP access to the installation location. If you can share those, please open a ticket at our HelpDesk. Thanks!
