Hi, I wanted to upgrade from 9.2.0 to 9.6.1 and followed my own upgrade instructions which worked several times before without any problems.
With the newest version 9.6.1, I connect as superadmin to my database which works well, but as soon as I want to setup a new user, the existing email address from 9.2.0 shows up already as existing user. OK, since I want to setup exactly this user, I leave it as it is and want to try to login with this user. This works, but the screen stays white. OK, back to superadmin and I tried to delete the existing user to setup it newly but an error message pops up that the tables can't be found or so.
What is going wrong here?

Hello,
Not sure which upgrading instructions you're referring to, the following instructions need to be used:
Upgrading instructions
Also, I'd recommend to try installing the latest version separately, rather than upgrading an existing one, and see if that one works - just to ensure whether it's an upgrade issue.
