Is it possible to force an attachment which is a text file (.txt extension) to be encoded using Base 64.
If I rename the file to be of .log extension this encoding occurs.
I am having a problem with wrapping of attached text file....
Any help greatfully received

In fact, attachments are always base64 encoded, regardless whether their extension is .txt or not. So, you do not need to do anything special to make them Base64-encoded.

Thanks for your quick response..
Problem solved: Our Lotus Notes system translates .txt extension files and .log files differently.
Sorry for your wasted time.
