When Mailbee is retrieving the messages an icon flashes quickly in the notification area near the clock. What is causing this and how do I get rid of that.

MailBee POP3 component does not cause this, neither it can affect Windows user interface in any other way since it is non-UI component.

I guess you have some background software installed (like firewall, traffic monitor, antivirus, etc) which intercepts all the traffic produced by MailBee and shows its icon when doing this.
