Hello Igor,
I have an iMac and would like to implement the cloud storage from my webserver, to sync files and folders native with the "Finder".
In the "Finder" I choose Go > Connect to server and type dav serveraddress, username and password.
It works. The "Finder" shows me all folders, subfolders and files. But I can only read it! I can't write or send files to any folders. The permissions are not the same as I login to Afterlogic Webmail and go to the tab "files".
What can I do?
Best regards,
Manuel

Hello,
This is what we've found in SabreDAV documentation:
Quote:
Finder is OS X's built-in WebDAV client. It's been around for ages, and it's pretty stable.
Your server must have Locking support in order to allow a user to make modifications.
If the server does not supports locks, Finder will operate in read-only mode. |
|
|
And indeed, DAV server of WebMail Pro doesn't support locks; back in the days when we were adopting SabreDAV solution internally, attempts to enable locking caused other features to fail, so we ended up disabling the locking feature.
We believe, however, there are other DAV clients for that specific platform that can work without locking, Mountain Duck being one of the examples.

Hello,
I am using one reliable tool and it works without problems, it's Commander One. Commander One is a reliable WebDAV client for Mac solution with an intuitive dual-panel interface and lots of handy features for the best connection experience with remote servers. Move, edit or delete your online files on the server, copy files from one WebDAV server to another in a couple of clicks.
