Only an idea:

- new setting "Auto delete" under "/#admin/files"
- unit = days like 30 days
- to avoid cronjobs may each server request starts a file-check which is in the end performed once a day
- file check is based on disk timestamp
- expired files will be deleted

We use that resource when developing product's roadmap, so if the feature gets a good number of votes, there's a better chance of it being implemented.
