I am noticing that when I message shows up Unread in the Inbox I can no longer get it with
uids = (UidCollection)imp.Search(true, "NEW", null);
I need a search for Unread or something else. Apparently once it is downloaded by the mailclient it is no longer considered "NEW".

I changed the search to "unseen" and now it works the way I wish.
