Hello,
We are evaluating the Webmail Pro solution and have some questions. For example, how fast and efficient is the search function in an account with thousands of emails (70GB of emails)? Does the search interact directly with the IMAP server, or does it perform some type of local indexing to speed up the process?
I ask this because we currently have "Horde" installed, and it is a real problem when a user tries to search for an email.
The next question is about the database engine you use. What type of database engine do you use, and what are the necessary requirements?
Thank you very much.

WebMail Pro does a standard IMAP SEARCH request, the rest is up to mail server to handle. Per our experience, searching in message headers is usually fast, but if you wish to have an actually fast search performed in message bodies, it's best to configure your mailserver for use of search indexer like Apache Solr or Elasticsearch.

As you can see from System Requirements page, WebMail Pro requires MySQL (version 5.7.8 or newer) or MariaDB (version 10.2.7 or newer).
Hope this helps.

Please bear in mind that WebMail Pro is available for a free full-featured 30-day trial download and it's strongly recommended to try it out to make sure the product meets your requirements, prior to purchasing a license.
