hello forum
my question is for the email account settings when I log in with web mail ver 7.7.5. to my own email or actually even my gmail or yahoo or hotmail email accounts...
the password section...how does it actually function??
the reason i ask is because i tried many times to reset my login password there..but it doesnt work....i can only login with the current password..changing it in the email settings password box does not change or update it to log in....

it can only be reset at the source email server..?/

Generally, it's not possible to change account password from within WebMail, it needs to be done on mail server side.
There are few special cases when password change is possible, there are several plugins available for that, see "Password change" section of Plugins repository.
