We use MailBee.Outlook's MsgToMailMessage() to convert an MSG file to a MailMessage from which we read bodyhtml, From, To, CC, and other properties.
We have just encountered certain MSG files where the From and To fields visible in the MSG file (when viewed in Outlook) don't match the values we see in the MailMessage. For instance, From and To appear as "Cherice" and "Michael@some.email.com" respectively in Outlook, but both appear as "Athena@otherdomain.com" in the MailMessage. Athena is the email user who saved the MSG from her Outlook client.
Examining the Internet Headers in Outlook, I see the From and To values as they appear in the MailMessage (Athena...). So, MailBee Convert is in a sense "correctly" converting them. But, of course, the values visible in Outlook are the ones our users expect to see.
We don't know why the Internet Headers differ from the visible properties. We don't know if we can get around this and access the visible properties rather than those in the Internet Headers.
