We're collecting ideas for enterprise version and I believe such plugin (collecting and displaying various usage statistics including logins) will fit fine in this concept.

Do you continued work on the design and speediness?
You should definitely check here FastMail. Their webmail is incredibly fast, it would be awesome if your client can reach that?
Also is their space usage very good. You made it logical for your design that it's quick to shift the email, to delete etc. - because the buttons are directly above the mail list.
But there is plenty of available space and the email might get more space when you optimize in that area. On top is to much wasted space in my opinion. The column of the mail view is also to thick. Also the lines in the mail column are much to thick.
Here FastMail has found the perfect proportions.
The upload box in mails feels and looks very good.
What i like about your client more too is, that the design is more warm ( FastMail uses very cold colours )

We're now changing focus from developing features to developing a platform. I.e. the goal is to provide tools people the developers can use to build a product of their dream. With a very small team like ours it's not possible to implement all and even 5% of that great ideas our users suggest. We want give the community the freedom to do whatever they want with ease (the road to better APIs, documentation and object model).

I request a "Forward as attachment" button. Many times sysadmins need to debug an email and need the original headers intact. Most desktop clients support this also.

Version 8 looks nice and I was looking to upgrade but where is the recaptcha plugin?

Without proper brute force protection I would be hesitant to upgrade as bots just hammer the login page all day :(

Here is what I would like to suggest for already excellent WebMail Pro
Contacts: Please add small thumbnails for contacts, at list 128x128.
On my android phone only contacts I have is the one from WebMail Pro synced with WebDav. I wold really like to see there people faces ;)
Calendar: Possibility to link some external (dinamic) calendars. For example I would like to see Canada Holidays calendar from officeholidays.com in my calendar together with my personal ones.
Files: Possibility to link other storages with WebDav. That way I could link my working files from my Qnap NAS direct to email attachments even when I am ouside my office.

I would like to see Light and Dark (white and black) themes with no background images (except branding), just clean themes. I would create it by my self but I don't like idea changing anything on my side every time after the update.
Maybe user could choose then own custom background in the settings and then use one of these basic themes depending of the image.

What about the capacity to show messages in a strung design like how gmail and viewpoint 2010?

A couple of suggestions, on trialling Afterlogic pro email client.
When following a mailto link the system does not allow you to choose the account to send from. This would be really helpful, the reason to use Afterlogic pro is to manage better my multiple accounts when on the move, when I follow a mailto link I won't always want to use the default account. A dropdown with account (or from address) would be really helpful. Gmail operates in this way when you have aliases on the one account.
Unified inbox - The ability to included sub folders from imap in the unified mailbox view would be brilliant. I organise email as it arrives into folders using rules, this means that messages don't just sit in the default inbox for an account, and makes the unified view far less useful.

oAuth 2.0 authentication to Office 365 will be strong functionality add. The same for Gmail suite. Microsoft does not allow basic authentication anymore and Google will follow in a few moths time. Probably every other server out there will stop accepting basic authentication soon, if there any still does.
